The importance of giving back to the community is a duty that is taken seriously at CMG.ASIA. As a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the directors and executives visited the Local Social Center in Khanh Hoa province, Nha Trang, on the final day of the annual Leadership Summit.
Executives and Directors from CMG.Asia being welcomed to the Social Support Center
The center is home to approximately 150 children and 100 of the elderly, some of whom are disabled.
Upon arrival CMG.ASIA was greeted by many of the center’s elders, who were warm and inviting, with the children being excited by all the activity. Randy Dobson spoke briefly about how thankful he was for being allowed to visit and explained how much CMG.ASIA, as a company, cares about the community and wants to give back as much as possible.
The team from CMG.ASIA brought with them upwards of 50,000,000VND in donations, items such as baby formula, diapers, cooking supplies, wheelchairs, walkers, dental care items and a chalkboard for the classroom.
The directors and executives spent time making donations, playing with the children, and learning about the center.
They were also given a tour of the center’s facilities, including the play yard, basketball court, soccer field, 2 classrooms, and dedicated living areas. The government-subsidized center is well kept and run efficiently, and the devotion of the carers and team there can easily be felt.
“It was an amazing experience, that feeling that you get” – Linda Tran, Director of Calipso said.
“Sometimes we get so caught up in life, we get busy, and you don’t see how a small gesture could change someone’s life. It was just a toy but it had such an impact on that little boy. For me, it gave me some perspective. In the future, I would love to be more involved in this kind of activity, whether it be on my own or with CMG.ASIA.”
Members of CMG.ASIA will maintain regular contact with the Local Social Center and make further donations throughout the year.
