1 billion VND Sponsorship for Vietnamese athletes to attend the 2016 Olympics

On April 29 in Ho Chi Minh City, CMG.ASIA signed a contract with the Vietnam Olympic Committee to sponsor 1 billion VND for Vietnamese athletes towards the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. 

Accordingly, 7 athletes of Ho Chi Minh City received a sponsorship package from CMG.Asia. Included in that group are the three athletes who have won official tickets to the 2016 Olympic Games, Thach Kim Tuan (weightlifting), Hoang Tuan Tai (weightlifting) and Nguyen Tien Minh (badminton), and 4 other athletes who are trying to “hunt tickets” to Rio de Janeiro this summer are Luu Thi Duyen (boxing), Tran Duy Khoi, Lam Quang Nhat (swimming) and Tran Hue Hoa (athletics). 

Vietnamese sports officials and athletes, guests, and representatives of sponsors take photos at the contract signing ceremony between CMG.ASIA and the Vietnam Olympic Committee.

This package includes 500 million VND in cash and 500 million VND funded through CMG.ASIA’s services and products. About the cash, each athlete will be directly supported with 20 million VND for personal expenses; the rest will be used to support them in practice and to go to international competitions. In terms of service, Mr.Randy Dobson – Chairman of CMG.ASIA – committed: “Athletes will be free to use equipment, and receive advice on bodybuilding, fitness, and psychological care at the clubs which are part of CMG.Asia.”  

On April 29, Mr. Tran Van Manh – General Secretary of the Vietnam Olympic Committee – said: “We have won 16 official places to attend the Olympics 2016”. In particular, the latest ticket belongs to the Vietnamese women’s weightlifting team who has just won at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in 2016.
