On the 17th of August 2019 night, the Muscle Contest Vietnam 2019 International Bodybuilding Competition officially ended with success, and beyond expectation, Southeast Asia’s leading and professional bodybuilding event attracted more than 2,000 people to attend. Despite the tough competition, six IFBB Pro cards were awarded to deserving winners at Muscle Contest Vietnam 2019.
Approved by International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness; Culture, Sport and Tourism Department, LEEP.APP cooperates with Ho Chi Minh Federation of Weightlifting – Fitness to organize the Muscle Contest Vietnam 2019, this is the 3rd time that CMG.ASIA and Muscle Contest International co-organize this event with the attention of domestic and international bodybuilding lovers.
Besides international candidates, official examiners of the event this year are from the US and other countries including global Muscle Contest president Tamer El Guindy, former international bodybuilding champion Mr. Ben P. Dell, 4-time champion Central Japan heavyweight, Mr. James Geoffrey Stocks, Grade A International Examiner Mr. Andrew Glenn Johnson, IFBB Pro International Examiner Huang Min An…Those are the most reliable and professional examiners according to the standard of IFBB. Furthermore, the examiner executive team also had Mr. Huynh Ngoc Minh, the president of Ho Chi Minh Federation of Weightlifting – Fitness, who plays the role of honorary examiner.
The final round found 6 worthy winners to get the IFBB Pro card. This is an accessed ticket that helps candidates participate in other professional international bodybuilding contests. The list of new winners of the Muscle Contest Vietnam 2019 by category:

Muscle Contest Vietnam 2019 had an expansion; if 2018 only had 250 candidates registered to join the contest, this year, the number increased significantly. Through the sharing of the Chairman of CMG.ASIA (the business that brought Muscle Contest to Vietnam for 3 years) – Mr.Randy Dobson said: “I see the quality of the contest improved every year. I hope the next year, the contest will be bigger. This year was so wonderful. It had 350 candidates from all over the world registered. Everyone was excited. The competition of contests this year and also the previous year have been more intense. We see that lots of professional athletes IFBB Pro League joined”.

A moment of friendship between Vietnamese candidate Tran Tuan Anh – who won silver for Men’s Bodybuilding – Pro Qualifier and the Chinese winner Long Wu. Tuan Anh shared his opinion after he finished his performance: “This year’s contest was spectacular and beautiful. The competitors came from different regions in the world, and they were very strong, but Vietnam was not behind”.
Benjamin Pour Dell – former Canada Bodybuilding champion – one of the Judges of the Muscle Contest Vietnam this year said: “Muscle Contest gradually become a world-class competition with the largest scale in Southeast Asia. In the 3rd year, we are glad to welcome more candidates who are more qualitative, beautiful, and professional Vietnamese athletes. Compared to the first year of the Muscle Contest, the candidates this year have the same quality and competition. In the first year, candidates might be unaware of this contest. However, over the past 3 years, I can see they are so excited and waiting when the contest is held. It is like what I have seen in North America.

Ben examiner also stated: “The athletes are increasingly level, especially the Vietnamese competitors are not left behind to any country, and all can compete equally. I think Vietnam has opportunities to get prizes in this contest, or even in the Mr.Olympia contest. I always wanted to do my best for Vietnam, and I have been doing this for the past 3 years so that you guys have a chance to compete in bigger competitions like international Mr.Olympia competitions. To participate in a big contest like Mr.Olympia, athletes should be successful in the contest Muscle Contest first”.
